1950's Roller Skating Documentary

I found this long lost documentary showcasing all there is to know about roller skates, while scouring the internet. It gives a full history on how one of my favorite childhood past times got its start.

I spent many hours as a young girl, skating in the church parking lot next store to our house. My mother gave me an old silver pair of skates that adjusted with a "key". The fit awkwardly on top of my shoes. I literally wore them out.

Preteen and teenage years were spent in the seventies and eighties, roller discoing it up at the local roller rink. I had my first crush, met my best friend and spent every weekend boogie skating until I had to get a job.

Ah, memories...
