Lately the Lord has put on my heart the words Posture and Unfolding.
Recently I was asked to share part of my testimony at a ladies' luncheon. As I prayed beforehand, I felt a deep sense of peace. Rather than carefully scripting every detail, I sensed the Lord inviting me to trust the Holy Spirit to guide my words. The night before, He impressed upon my heart the word Posture.
As I shared about worship and how God used it to soften both my heart and my husband's heart, I realized that worship is more than music. It is a posture of surrender, humility, trust, and awe before God.
Afterward, doubts tried to creep in. Had I said enough? Had I left out important parts of my story? Yet the Lord gently answered with another word: Unfolding.
Our testimonies are not single moments frozen in time. They are continually unfolding as God works in our lives. His plans, purposes, and faithfulness unfold day by day. We don't need to tell the entire story at once. We simply need to walk with Him and trust Him with the next step.
Perhaps this season is less about having everything figured out and more about maintaining a posture of surrender while God continues His beautiful unfolding.
Scripture Reflection:
Psalm 119:50 NLT
Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.
Reflection: Psalm 119 reminds me of the importance of treasuring God's Word. The Psalmist hid God's Word in his heart, and when affliction came, he found comfort, life, and hope in God's promises. I have found the same to be true in my own life. Whenever I need encouragement, peace, or a reminder of God's unfailing love, I turn to His Word. Again and again, His promises revive my heart and draw me back to the certainty of His love and faithfulness.
